The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, or PURA, wanted to eliminate the Connecticut Clean Energy Options Program, or CCEO.
That’s a program that allows electric customers to pay a few dollars more on their bill to support clean energy development.
The decision was planned for this week, but a spokesperson for PURA now says the board is delaying its final decision indefinitely.
Since its inception in 2003, CCEO has signed up thousands of new customers, while the market for renewable energy has grown.
