The Town of Avon is looking for solar companies to design, install, finance, operate, and maintain renewable energy arrays at its municipal facilities.
The Renewable Energy & Efficiency Business Association is administering the proposal process for Avon through Hartford law firm Murtha Cullina. Solar energy providers are also invited to submit proposals for monetized metering credits produced under municipal or agricultural virtual net metering.
Avon wants to purchase the generated energy to reduce its carbon footprint and optimize electricity rates.
Submissions must contain an original proposal and one copy to be received by Murtha Cullina (Attention: Paul R. Michaud), CityPlace I, 185 Asylum Street, Hartford, CT 06103 no later than by 5 p.m. on Jan. 31.
