Microgrid Grant and Loan Pilot Program – Award Announcement

Dear Microgrid Pilot Program Participant,

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) received 18 proposed microgrid submissions to its Microgrid Grant and Loan Pilot Program Request for Proposals (RFP).  DEEP has now completed the evaluations of the RFP submissions.  Of the 18 RFP submissions, 9 projects were awarded a grant.  The approved projects and grant amounts can be found on DEEP’s website at this link: http://www.dpuc.state.ct.us/DEEPEnergy.nsf/$EnergyView?OpenForm&Start=1&Count=30&Expand=4&Seq=2.  Click on the blue triangle labeled Final Determination.

As you may already know, Public Act 13‑239 has authorized an additional $30 million for funding of subsequent rounds of the program, which are expected to begin in the fall of 2013.  DEEP intends to incorporate “lessons learned” from this Pilot Program into the subsequent rounds.  Further information regarding the subsequent rounds will be sent out at that time.

We sincerely thank you for your interest in the program. If you have questions regarding the program, you can contact Alex Kragie (alex.kragie@ct.gov).  DEEP will use the current microgrid program distribution list to create a new list when the next round RFP is issued.  Please let Debra Morrell (debra.morrell@ct.gov) know if you are no longer interested in receiving information about the program and would like your name to be removed from the new list.

 Sincerely,

The DEEP Microgrids Team
